Calculation puzzle maker

Type a sentence and Puzzel writes a sum for every character in it. Each answer is a number under one blank, so working out the sums spells the sentence back.

Answers up to 20, 50, 100 or 1000. It sets the ceiling every answer stays under, and because no two sums may share an answer, it also caps how long the sentence can be.

Adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing — or only the ones your class has covered. Every sum is built from what you leave switched on.

Up to three operations in a single sum, so the answer takes real working out instead of one glance.

A solved sum turns green straight away. Switch it off and players work the whole page before they find out.

Players race through the same set of sums — up to four at once — and watch each other close in on the sentence.
