The letters of a phrase have fallen out of the grid into a heap under their own column. Players put them back — dragging, tapping or typing — and a finished word locks in place.

What this maker can do
One phrase, and gravity
Write a phrase and it is laid into a grid, then every letter drops straight down into a heap under its own column, scrambled. Players put them back — a letter can only go where it fell from. They can drag it, tap it, or click a blank and type.
The width is the difficulty
The phrase wraps to fit the board, so a narrower board falls into more rows and stacks more letters in every heap — more orders to try. A wide board spreads them thin and is the gentler puzzle.
Finished words lock
A word that is completely filled and completely right settles green and stays put, so players get their footing word by word instead of waiting to the end. Turn it off and the board says nothing until the whole phrase is back.
A letter, when they are stuck
Hand out a few hints and a player who is stuck can ask for the letter in the blank they are on, instead of giving up. Every hint is counted, and the count is on the finish card. None at all to start with.
