Create cryptogram

The only thing you have to do, is think of a secret sentence and the cryptogram generator does the rest! :) As easy as it is for you as the puzzle maker, it can be quite challenging for the puzzle player!

Make sure to make the sentence long enough so that the puzzle player has a bit of context and can make progress along the way.

The Settings-tab contains a 'Helpers' field that gives the puzzle player some context to start with. It has four different options:

• Vowels
• Most common
• Custom helpers
• None

Most common takes the character that occurs the most and gives that one for free. The custom helpers allow you to give away any number of characters. Try it out and find the right difficulty for your sentence!

All helper cells can recognised via the specific marked color and are read-only so the puzzle player cannot accidentally change it :).

Do you prefer a different layout? No problem! The 'Layout' option on the Premium-tab has got your back. It will showcase your sentence more like the regular puzzle field cells.

It also takes up less space, so the generated sentence will show better on smaller screens.

Many international languages have weird characters like 'ë' or 'à' - these are not in the regular alphabet and the generator does not keep them in mind when generating a puzzle!

Characters that are not in the generator's default list, are given for free to the user since it doesn't know that it should be in the alphabet for the user to solve.

The Premium 'Character list' option allows you to fully customize this. You can add (and remove!) any number of characters you like to create your own custom alphabet and secret code. Cool, huh? :)
