The cryptogram maker

The cryptogram maker only needs a sentence from you to get to work. The cryptogram generator will start encrypting the characters in the sentence quickly and thoroughly and generate a unique encryption key within seconds.

Note: When thinking of your sentence, make sure to make the sentence long enough so that the player has a bit of context and can make progress along the way.

Add helper characters

By default the player receives no help at all when decoding the cryptogram sentence.

The cryptogram can be tweaked in multiple ways, for instance by 'giving away' the vowels, so that the player only has to find the correct non-vowel characters in the sentence and has some context to start from.

Use your own character list

To further support the many languages that Puzzel.org includes, you can add your own character list as the base of your cryptogram encryption key.

The gives you full control over the characters that need encryption, including special characters like ü, é and å.

Hide unused characters

Hide unused characters from the encryption key. This will only show the characters that are present in the sentence.

Show correct answers incrementally

Enabling this will give feedback every step of the way, so every time a character is connected to the correct number, it will show as correct.
