While they type

Type the spaces between words

Players press the space bar at the end of every word, so a sentence is typed exactly as it is written. Off, the line steps straight from the last letter of one word to the first of the next.

Show the typing speed

Words per minute for the line being typed, under the letters. Off keeps the drill free of a clock, often better for a class still learning where the keys are.

Show the key that was pressed Premium

A wrong key never registers. With this on, it appears under the letter it was typed at, so players see what they hit.

Always show the keyboard

Phones and tablets get one either way; this puts it on desktop too, so a letter can be clicked instead of typed.

Lowercase letters

The letter tiles show capitals by default. On, every letter shows in lowercase, the form young readers learn first.

Shuffle the line order

Deals the lines in a different order for every player, so the set is not learnt by its sequence.

Confetti (seconds)

How long the confetti falls each time a line is finished. The completion message has a confetti switch of its own.
