Animal facts loop

Every card holds an animal and asks for the next one by a fact. Find the picture that answers, and the chain grows until it loops back to the start.

When to use it

A science starter where the whole class is needed to finish the chain. A quick review at the end of a topic about animals. Played alone on a screen, a warm-up that takes a few minutes.

What makes it this

Built on the I have, who has generator with these changed. Everything else is the default.

  1. The chain: Loop

    Each answer goes on the card after its question, and the last card leads back to the first — so any card can start.

  2. Puzzle-piece edges

    Every card gets a knob and a socket, so the cards click together like jigsaw pieces. The printed cards always have straight edges.

Animal facts loop

The card on the table asks “Who has…?”. Find the animal in your hand that answers it, and play it — then that card asks the next question. Keep going until the chain comes back to where it started.

Why the example is built this way

  1. Questions in words, answers in pictures.

    The question is what gets read out loud, so it stays words; the answer is what you recognise in your hand, so it is a picture. Either side of a pair can be text, a picture or a sound.

  2. Every fact fits one animal only.

    The chain only works if each question has one card that answers it. Save refuses two answers or two questions that are the same, but it cannot see that two different facts both fit the whale — that part is up to you.

  3. Play it as a class.

    Switch Solo or class to Class under Multiplayer, and every pupil gets their share of the cards on their own phone while you run the board on the big screen.
