create an image-based exercise where the player has to label parts of an image correctly
You start creating the 'Label This' activity with an uploaded image. This will be the base of your puzzle since the other labels will need to be dragged on top of this image.
After that, you can add as many labels as you like. You then need to drag and drop the labels to the correct spot in the image so that the puzzle player can later on guess correctly what the label corresponds to.
For the activity to work properly it is essential to drag the labels in the editor to the correct spots, which is why this is repeated here once more.
Every label can be shown as either the number or the content card itself and from there be dragged and dropped unto the image.
If labels are still missing in the image, the editor will let you know.
If you have an image that already displays the numbers within the image itself, for instance if you are using an image that is normally used for an offline activity, then you do not need to add any labels yourself.
Just click the button below and you are good to go!
By default, the 'Label this' activity forces the player to enter the answer connected to a label themselves via an open text field.
If you would like to make the exercise more easy / restricted in terms of given answers, enable the drag and drop interaction.
A different way of helping out the player is by adding in a word bank. This gives the player the option to select the answer from all of the labels active in the puzzle.
It is optional though, players can also still type in the answer themselves, it is a possible helpline.
If you have an image with a lot of detail and you need very accurate placement of your labels without overlaying the image too much, this option is useful.
The label becomes very small and gives you a dot as an indicator so that the player knows exactly which part of the image you want to target.
