The flash cards are printable as well, although it is mainly built for online usage.

Control the flash card timing

A big part of the flash cards interaction is the (automated) timing mechanism to 'flash' the cards and move to the next card.

To make this as interesting as possible, a lot of settings were introduced to control the timing in various ways.

You can choose the duration before the answer is shown and also the time in seconds between cards.

Add pause button

If you would the player to have even more control over the online flash cards flow, you can introduce the pause button.

This way the player can review any given flash card as long as necessary before moving to the next flash card.

Randomize order of flash cards

The order in which the flash cards are presented is the same for every attempt the player makes.

To add more randomness and an element of surprise to the mix, enable the randomized order of the flash cards.

swap answer description

Certain types of flash cards have interesting answers and descriptions that the player needs to learn.

In the case where you need to learn translations for example, it is beneficial to learn the origin language version as well as the translated version.

To support this easily, you can enable the swap of the answer and description, so the focus of each card is swapped from the answer value to the description value.

Show answer and description together

If you want the player to just memorize the combination of answer and description without the delay of revealing the answer, then this option is for you.

It will keep the timing intact, but will show the answer from the start, so you have more time to memorize the combination.

Ask for answer input

An unorthodox but interesting way to use the flash cards is by asking for answer input while the answer has not been shown.

Instead of letting the player rehearse mentally, you are now asked to enter the answer, allowing you to better memorize the correct answer.

Display flash cards as card grid

If you would like a fresh interaction with your flash cards, try out displaying them as a grid of cards.

This way you can pick a card at random and you are shown the flash card connected to it.

Also an interesting way to control the pace of the flash cards in a different way.
