The memory game maker allows the 'regular' memory game where both cards in the card pair contain the same content easily by using the 'Copy' icon.

Extra interesting is adding different content per card of the card pair, so players have to find and recognize the correct match.

Tweaking the card flip time

The 'flip time' is the duration that cards remain 'flipped' (in seconds). The memory game interactions can be set up as quick or as slow as you like.

The flip time should be tweaked based on your players and the degree of difficulty / length of your card content.

The game is completely responsive

The cards in the memory game always try to fit on the screen of the player's device. The responsive algorithm checks the space available and scales the cards accordingly.

You can limit this responsive behaviour by changing the maximum number of cards allowed per row of cards. This way you can maintain a grid size to your liking.

Portrait mode

Memory games are perfect for matching image-type content with other images and/or text content. And images are not always orientated the same way, which is why 'Portrait mode' is very useful.

Portrait mode switches the width and height used to display the cards, giving you a fresh and alternate way to display your memory game cards while maintaining the responsiveness.

Show numbers on cards

To accompany memory games played on a digital school board or in a virtual meeting, you can display the card numbers on the back of the cards.

This way, the player can call out a number and the organiser of the (virtual) memory session can flip the card manually.

Allow players to challenge eachother

The memory game was originally designed as a multiplayer game and therefore this game dynamic had to be included as a feature.

The challenge-mode allows players to challenge up to 3 other players, so you can see who solves the memory game the quickest.

The most interactive game version however is by making the challenge turn-based. This way you copy the original memory game design and take turns in finding as much card pairs as possible before passing the turn when you flip two cards that do not belong together.
