You can now challenge any player to a self-created puzzle battle! Any puzzle that has progress can now be converted into a race to see who finishes your puzzle the fastest.
The ultimate puzzle battle mode is now here! After enabling 'Allow players to challenge', your puzzle will first show a small pop-up to allow the challenge process before seeing the puzzle.
This way the battle is fair (as long as the players are too, of course), and you can race to 100% for the challenge victory.
Allow this mode via the Premium-tab > 'Allow players to challenge'
After hitting the 'Challenge player!' button you will get a small form to pick your name and determine if you want to challenge the next random person or if you would like your game to be private and thus share the unique challenge link only with someone you know.
You can always 'Play solo' if you like, this will disregard the whole challenge-system and will let you play the regular way, on your own.
It might come in very handy to challenge your friends, colleagues or family directly. This can be done through enabling the 'Private challenge'.
You will receive a unique link as the challenge creator and you can easily copy this and share it via any medium you like.
Any puzzle that allows challenges, will show a 'challenge progress' panel below the puzzle once you are in challenge mode.
This way you know exactly how your progress relates to the other contenders.
To make it even more exciting, you can also enable 'Hide own progress' on the Premium-tab, so that you only know how much progress the 'opponent' has made :)
To notify everyone in the battle that there is a winner at some point, a pop-up with the winner's name + confetti will show up once the challenge has been completed by one of the players.
From here you can start a new challenge (which will leave the current one), or for the players that did not finish yet, there is a 'x' in the pop-up to close it and continue the puzzle for fun.
To make it as user-friendly as possible, the state of the challenge is saved even when you refresh the page. Together with the 'Reload given answers' setting, this will make sure that the full challenge state is returned as long as you wish.
The challenge can be left at any point via the 'Leave challenge' button at the bottom.
