PuzzleGPT: AI Puzzle Generation

Modern technology allows us to integrate artificial intelligence into content creation, so it has now been integrated into puzzle generation as well!

Introducing PuzzleGPT

Since the huge popularity of ChatGPT and others public AI language models has taken over the news, Puzzel.org wanted to join the fun and make the artificial intelligence even more accessible by integrating it into puzzle building.

All sorts of puzzle types have now gotten integrated AI support for Premium members, ranging from completely generated thematic crossword puzzles to image generated jigsaw puzzles.

Introducing PuzzleGPT

Feature 1: Language puzzles

To start off the fun, you can now create all sorts of language-based puzzles around a certain context or theme of your choosing, without entering any of the content yourself!

Then choose the origin language, for example, English, and then pick the target language, for instance Spanish. PuzzleGPT will do the rest!

The language model will generate thematic answers + descriptions based on your query and feed that into the regular puzzle generators that you know through the regular Puzzel.org interface.

Feature 2: Answers and descriptions

In the same manner, you can select a more descriptive based theme, like Capitals in Europe, and let PuzzleGPT generate answers and descriptions based off of that.

This is the perfect and easy way to generate a 'general knowledge' type puzzle within 20-30 seconds. And since the content is original to you, the puzzle owner, as well, you might even have fun playing the puzzle yourself!

Feature 2: Answers and descriptions

Feature 3: Image generation

Not only text generated puzzles, but also image generated puzzles are part of Puzzel.org and thus part of PuzzleGPT! :)

Be creative in your description, pick an 'image type' to your liking and you get an unique puzzle in the style you want every time.

Feature 3: Image generation

AI credits

The AI system relies on external AI models (OpenAI) and therefore cannot be used without any limits. In the current version, you get 2 credits per month as a Premium user to play with the AI and see what it can do for you.

Query language: English

To keep the AI query flow fluent and effective, the current working method is using English for your queries. Some of the puzzle types allow you to specify origin languages and target languages for the outcomes though, so feel free to pick any language there.

When filling in the image description or the theme, be sure to write your queries in English though, otherwise it might not work.

Most of the credits go to OpenAI for delivering such an accessible and easy to use API. It is a lot fun working with their features and converting them into working puzzles for you, the puzzle owner.

But their models are really smart if you make sure to ask the right questions. Check out some of the screenshots of the following puzzles and be amazed at what you can expect within 20-30 seconds of your time.

Example 2: The language models are really smart!

You can easily ask for a list of activities in a certain context, like 'Toddler activities' and it will generate any number of options you like, embed them in the wheel of fortune and you are good to go! :)

The image generated puzzles are a lot fun to play with. You can enter weird queries and the model will still come up with a fitting image. The image shown here was created with 'Basketball field full of kangaroos'

PuzzleGPT does not require you to have any technical knowledge, it is all about having fun and generating useful and fun educational material.
