Flags of Europe
Fifteen European flags, one at a time. Players click the country each flag belongs to on a blank map of Europe.
When to use it
A lesson about Europe, when the countries are known and the flags are not yet. A warm-up before a European sports tournament or the Eurovision Song Contest. A quiz round at a party or a team day.
What makes it this
Built on the Map quiz generator with these changed. Everything else is the default.
- Which map
In the builder: Map & places
- How a place is asked: By flag
A flag is shown and the player clicks that country on the map. A capital is asked by its name.

- Give the answer away after
How many wrong tries a place gets before the right one is shown: it blinks on the map, or its name appears. 0 never gives it away.

A flag is shown: click the country it belongs to. A wrong click tells you which country you clicked, and after three misses the right one lights up.
Why the example is built this way
-
A flag instead of a name.
The quiz shows one flag at a time and the player clicks its country on the map. That is two questions in one: whose flag is it, and where is that country? Fifteen countries are asked, in a new order every time.
-
The flags that look alike are in on purpose.
Ireland and Italy, the Netherlands and France, Sweden and Norway: telling them apart is the lesson. A wrong click names the country that was clicked, never the one that is asked, and after three misses the right country lights up.
-
All fifty countries, or another continent.
In your copy, click more countries on the map to add their flags, up to all fifty. The flag quiz also works on the maps of the other continents. A capital has no flag, so it is asked by its name.
Build it yourself
