Arithmetic practice at the end of the week, where the message is the reward for finishing. Times-tables revision before a test. A well done or a clue to the next activity for the class, hidden behind a page of sums.

Every sum is worth one letter of the hidden message. Drag an answer from the bank onto the sum it belongs to, and the letter drops into place above.

Why the example is built this way

Twenty-five letters make twenty-five sums.
Every letter is one sum, so the length of the sentence is the length of the worksheet. Six short words gave an upper-primary class a full page without it dragging.

Letters and single spaces only.
Spaces make no sum, but a comma or an exclamation mark gets a sum and a blank of its own. Write the sentence without punctuation.

The biggest number kept to twelve.
Under Maths level, a biggest number of 12 keeps every multiplication and division inside the times tables, while two steps per sum still carry answers up towards 100.
