Teaching in Moodle, Canvas or another school system? Connect it.
Puzzel LMS is for schools that want the whole lesson page in Puzzel. If your school already has its own learning platform, keep your courses there: add a Puzzel activity inside a course, and each student's score comes back to that course's gradebook on its own.
Your school's own system
Your school connects Puzzel.org once. Teachers then add activities from inside their courses, students play without a Puzzel.org account, and scores land in the course's gradebook.
- Your school's admin connects Puzzel.org once. In Moodle, Canvas and Brightspace that is one URL — about five minutes in Moodle.
- Teachers add activities from inside their own courses. Nothing to install.
- Students need nothing: their school system tells Puzzel.org who they are.

How the connection works
- Your school connects Puzzel.org once In Moodle, Canvas or Brightspace the admin pastes one URL into the tool setup, signs in with a Puzzel.org account and confirms. Other systems are set up with us first — see below.
- A teacher adds an activity to a course Add an activity, choose Puzzel.org and pick one of your activities. Choose the points, and the system makes the gradebook column itself.
- Students open it in their course They start straight away: no Puzzel.org account to make, no name to type, no code.
- The score lands in the gradebook As soon as they finish. If they play again, their best score counts.
Only students' runs are sent: when you open the activity yourself as a teacher, you play it the same way but nothing goes to the gradebook. Puzzel.org only asks to create the column and write scores in it — no class lists, no other coursework. Sending scores is part of a paid plan on the account that owns the activity; without one, activities are still added, just ungraded.

The student's ID in Google Classroom or your school's system — with a name and email address only if it shares them. Never class lists, other students or other coursework.
- Only the score goes out
Calculated on our servers from the answers given, and sent to that one student's gradebook entry. Nothing else.
- Removed when you stop
A student's record goes when the teacher stops syncing the activity or deletes it. Scores already sent stay in the school's gradebook.
- The school stays in charge
Your school decides what happens with its students' data; Puzzel.org processes it only on the school's behalf.

Using Schoology, Blackboard Learn or itslearning?
These systems need a one-time setup on our side first. It takes three steps:
- You send us a request below.
- We register Puzzel.org with your system and email your admin what they need.
- Your admin adds Puzzel.org the way your system does it — we send the exact steps. Teachers can then add activities from their courses, and scores come back to the gradebook.
No extra costs: connecting is free, and sending grades is part of any paid Puzzel.org plan.
For your IT admin
Once, for the whole site, in five steps:
- Go to Site administration → Plugins → Activity modules → External tool → Manage tools.
- Paste
https://puzzel.org/lti/registerinto Tool URL and press Add LTI Advantage. - In the window that opens, sign in with a Puzzel.org account, check which Moodle is being connected, and press Connect.
- Back in Moodle, press Activate on the Puzzel.org card.
- Click the pencil on that card and set Tool configuration usage to Show in activity chooser and as a preconfigured tool. Without this step teachers won't find Puzzel.org when they add an activity.
Puzzel.org only asks to create a gradebook column for the activities a teacher adds and to write students' scores in it — no class lists, no other coursework.
