Collect them all
Win by gathering, not by arriving: move in either direction, land on the items, trade at the bank.
When to use it
A topic built on a set of things to know, like the planets, the elements or capital cities, with pupils in pairs playing each other on their own devices. A revision lesson where a pupil working alone plans a route round the loop instead of racing to a finish.
What makes it this
Built on the Board game generator with these changed. Everything else is the default.
- Game mode: Collect items
The board is a loop: pawns circle it gathering items, stealing and trading, and the first player holding enough different items wins.

Why the example is built this way
-
Six of eight to win.
Asking for six different items takes one more lap than players expect and makes the trade tiles worth landing on. Set Different items needed to win a little below the number of items on the board.
-
Every tile does something.
Players choose which way to move after every roll, so a blank tile is a wasted turn. Twenty tiles keeps the loop tight, and an item you missed soon comes round again.
-
Two items appear twice, far apart.
The easiest items to reach aren't always the ones you end with, and a duplicate never counts twice. Leave out steal tiles if people may play alone: there's nobody to steal from.
