Daily sudoku
The classic 9 × 9 at mid-week strength: one solution, no guessing, and a fresh board whenever the slot needs one.
When to use it
The daily puzzle slot on a news site or games page, next to the crossword and the word game. A weekend supplement's brain teaser. A newsletter that wants to give readers something to do, not just something to read.
What makes it this

A classic 9 × 9 at mid-week strength: every row, column and box holds 1 to 9 once, and there is exactly one way to get there. No guessing needed, but singles alone will not finish it.
Why the example is built this way
-
Normal is the puzzle-page level.
Under Difficulty, Normal asks for pairs and pointing but never a guess, while Hard may need trial and error. Check that the chip under the generator says it plays like normal, and regenerate if it says easy.
-
Every board has one solution.
The generator only takes a number away when the puzzle still has exactly one answer, and the chip under it confirms that. Regenerate as often as you like: each board is a new puzzle.
-
A new activity for every day.
Make each day's sudoku its own activity, or copy yesterday's and regenerate the copy. Regenerating a board that is already out changes it for everyone who is halfway through.
