When to use it
The first lesson back after a topic, to see how much of a list has stuck. A starter where the class races the clock together on the board. A quiz-night round where each team gets five minutes and one box to type into.

Why the example is built this way

A closed list with a count nobody argues about.
Players need to know when they're done. Pick a list with one agreed membership and number, not one where people could reasonably disagree about what belongs on it.

Five minutes for twenty-seven names.
About eleven seconds a name is brisk enough that players stop deliberating and start sweeping through what they know. Set the Time limit to match the length of your list.

Every fair spelling goes on the row.
Only the spellings you add are accepted, so add the older or longer forms people really type. Capitals, accents and punctuation are ignored, so those need no extra spellings.
