Vocabulary crossword
Terms and definitions, laid out for you. The classic review, and answers are still there when they come back.
When to use it
The lesson before a topic test, when the whole vocabulary list needs one more pass. A homework sheet that takes longer than one sitting. A revision station pupils come back to over a week, picking up where they left off.
What makes it this
Built on the Crossword puzzle generator with these changed. Everything else is the default.

Why the example is built this way
-
Every clue is the textbook definition.
A pupil who knows the topic writes the word straight in, and one who half knows it gets there from the crossings. Riddles would turn a review into a cryptic.
-
Seventeen terms from one unit of work.
One coherent topic makes the finished grid the whole vocabulary list in one picture. Mix a few long words for the long runs with short, vowel-rich ones to cross them.
-
Seventeen clues is twenty minutes, not two.
Turn on Remember answers between visits, so a pupil who closes the tab finds their letters again in the same browser, with no sign-in and no name asked for.
