Classroom bingo

You call, they play on their own screens, and every card is different. Three rounds to win: corners, a row, the full card.

When to use it

A lesson starter on new vocabulary, where you read the words out and the class marks them off on their phones. The lesson before a test on a topic with a lot of names to learn. A revision lesson where you want every pupil listening, not just the ones with their hands up.

What makes it this

Built on the Bingo generator with these changed. Everything else is the default.

  1. Judge claims for me

A card that matches is accepted and one that does not is rejected, without waiting for you. Off, every claim waits in the host console for your decision.

In the builder: Results & tracking › Bingo claims

  2. Close a pattern once it is won

After the first accepted claim nobody else can claim that pattern.

In the builder: How it plays › Winning & prizes

How a round runs

  1. 1 Open the host console from your dashboard, or with “Run the bingo” in the builder, and open registration.
  2. 2 Share the play link, its QR code or a classroom PIN. Players join with a first name and wait.
  3. 3 Start the round. Every player is dealt a different card.
  4. 4 Open a pattern to play for. Until one is open, nobody can win.
  5. 5 Draw and read out each call. Claims are checked, and the next pattern is yours to open.

Body words bingo: thirty words for the human body

Your teacher calls out a word. If it is on your card, tap that square. Four corners first, then the top row, then the whole card.

30 items in the pool

Why the example is built this way

  1. Thirty words for a four-by-four card.

Each card holds sixteen of the thirty, so two neighbours share only about half their squares. With a list the size of the card, everyone holds the same card and wins on the same call.

  2. Three patterns, the easiest first.

Four corners, then the top row, then the full card gives three winning moments across the list. Nobody can win until you open the next pattern, so each round ends with a deliberate pause.

  3. Let the claims be judged for you.

A claim waiting for your decision holds up the next call. With Judge claims for me on, a claim is answered at once and you never have to leave the calling screen.

Build it yourself

  1. 1 Open the Bingo builder and fill in the Items on the cards tab.
  2. 2 Change the settings under What makes it this. Each one says where it is in the builder.
  3. 3 Share the link with your players, or embed the activity in your own site.

Or skip the building: copy this example and swap in your own content.
